Featured Fairhope Artist: Val Zanetti

If you don't have plans for this Friday, come downtown to enjoy May's LODA Artwalk. If you do have plans, change them, because you won't want to miss the art we are featuring by Fairhope artist Val Zanetti!

Adhering to Carl Jung’s position that there is a “collective unconscious with a treasure trove of archetypal visual imagery common to all human beings”, Zanetti is more comfortable with the abstract motions of color and rhythm coming together on canvas or wood to create fluid movement. He creates continuous movement to keep one’s eyes busy to find the next image within the canvas.

Although new to the scene of being the actual artist, Zanetti has always enjoyed modern art – from Picasso & Chagall to Pollock & Kandinsky. Incorporating a little from each of these masters, he has developed a style totally independent of any other modern artist. Strong and bold, full of motion and depth, Zanetti stands at the precipice of a new era in modern art. His art is never stereotypical, but rather edgy and raw yet at the same time playful and comforting.

Artwalk starts this Friday, May 13th, at 6pm and lasts until 8pm. Come check out the artwork of Val Zanetti, speak with him, and have a glass of wine! We are located at 5 North Jackson Street right across from Hayley's Bar and NoJa. We can't wait to see you here!

Zanetti stands with one of his Pollock-inspired pieces, one of the many to be featured at this Friday's Artwalk.
